Who we are

Servicingstop is the data controller responsible for the personal data we collect from you. If you have any questions about this policy or want to exercise any of your rights, contact us at privacy@servicingstop.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Contact details — name, email, phone, postcode.
  • Vehicle details — registration, make, model, mileage, service history you choose to share.
  • Booking and payment information — service tier, collection address, card last-4 (via our payment provider; we never store full card numbers).
  • Messages — anything you send us via the in-app chat, email, or phone (calls may be recorded for training and dispute resolution).
  • Technical data — IP address, device type, browser, referring page, and cookie identifiers.

Why we use it

  • To provide quotations and fulfil bookings (legal basis: contract).
  • To keep you informed about your booking via SMS, email, and push notifications (contract).
  • To process payments and prevent fraud (contract and legal obligation).
  • To improve the service and produce anonymised analytics (legitimate interest).
  • To send marketing about Servicingstop services where you've opted in (consent — you can withdraw at any time).

Who we share it with

We share the minimum data needed with the garage assigned to your booking, our collection drivers, and the payment processor. We use trusted suppliers for hosting, email, SMS, and analytics — all bound by data-processing agreements. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

Booking and invoice records are retained for 7 years to meet UK tax and consumer-law obligations. Marketing consent is retained until you withdraw it. Call recordings are kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@servicingstop.co.uk to exercise any of these. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
