How quickly can I get a slot?

Most areas have next-day availability. In London, the same day is often possible if you book before 10am.

What if I don't know what service I need?

Pick 'Not sure' on the booking flow. We'll match your booking to the manufacturer schedule for your vehicle, or call you back within an hour.

Who is going to drive my car?

Accepted Answer

A fully insured, fully vetted Servicingstop driver. Minimum 3 years' clean licence, over 21, criminal background check passed, capable on manual and automatic vehicles. Your car is insured the moment we take the keys.

How does the handover work?

Your driver arrives in your pickup window. They show you a one-time pickup code on their phone that matches the one in your Servicingstop app — that's how you know it's them. You hand over the key, take a 30-second condition video together, and you're done.

Can I be at work or out when you collect?

Yes. As long as a key can be left securely (with a neighbour, in a key safe, with reception) we can do contactless collection. Just let us know in your booking notes.

Which garage will my car go to?

One of the 180+ vetted Servicingstop garages in your area. We match based on your vehicle make and model, the work needed, and current capacity. We confirm the chosen garage in your booking screen before pickup.

What parts do you use?

Manufacturer or manufacturer-equivalent parts only. We don't use unbranded pattern parts. Every part fitted is covered by our 12-month warranty.

How are garages vetted?

Only 1 in 20 applicants joins the network. We check trading history, MOT authorisation, insurance, online reviews, and we send our lead mechanic to audit the workshop in person before approval.

How and when do I pay?

Pricing is shown upfront before you book. Card details are captured on booking but nothing is charged until the work is completed and signed off. If extra work is needed, you approve a fresh quote first — no surprise charges.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Collection, return, and standard diagnostic time are included in the price you see. We don't add 'admin fees' or 'environmental surcharges' at the end.

How does the 12-month warranty work?

Every booking is covered for 12 months on parts and labour. If anything related to the work goes wrong in that window, email support@servicingstop.co.uk or message us in-app and we'll sort it — at no extra cost. (Air-con regas is the one exception; leaks can develop at any time.)

What if my car fails its MOT?

If your car fails its MOT at a Servicingstop garage and you believe it shouldn't have, you can get a second MOT at another garage. If your car passes there, we refund the original MOT fee. Repairs needed to pass are quoted separately, with no obligation.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Of course. Reschedule any time from the booking screen. We try to be flexible — if you cancel within 24 hours of a pickup slot we may charge a small fee to cover parts already ordered, but we'll always try to find you a new slot first.

What if I'm not home when you arrive?

Accepted Answer

Your driver waits up to 15 minutes and calls/texts. If we still can't reach you, we'll reschedule for the next available slot. No charge for a single missed pickup.
